About me

I am an art therapist based in Naarm/Melbourne.

My art therapy training has been focused in adult mental health. I have clinical experience in acute psychiatry, aged care, criminal justice and substance use recovery settings, as well as in private practice.

My approach to art therapy is trauma-informed and responsive to individual needs, and draws on psychoanalytic theory, particularly the teachings of Jacques Lacan.

Art therapy can be beneficial for anyone’s wellbeing. It can offer support for people experiencing a wide variety of challenges, including anxiety and depression. I work with adults and young people, and can offer referral to experienced colleagues for early childhood work.

I believe that therapeutic art-making can offer meaningful support for people who experience psychosis, and I have oriented my learning around analytic approaches to this work.

I am registered with PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) and ANZACATA (Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association).

I have completed a Master of Art Therapy (Latrobe University, 2023) and a Doctorate in Fine Art (Monash University, 2014).
